Synopsis
Noah's Ark becomes a closed system in which survivors of a catastrophe are taught to be "useful" and made to perform endless, meaningless labour. Through an absurd story told from within the ark, the film reflects on survival, submission and the possibility of resisting a system that keeps operating even after the end of the world.
About the Director
Mili Pecherer was born in Israel in 1988 and lives in Marseille. She studied at Bezalel Academy in Jerusalem and Le Fresnoy in France. Her work began with whimsical documentaries before turning to video-game technology to explore narrative and existential freedom. Her films have screened at Berlinale Shorts, Annecy, FIDMarseille and other international venues.
