O
International Festival of Experimental Art
We operate along a fault line — between cinema and visual art, between analog and digital, between the archive and what hasn’t even been named yet.

Cinema outside industries, outside formulas, outside the need to explain itself.
What we look for

O-FEST is an international festival dedicated to practices at the intersection of cinema, video art, performance, new media, and expanded audiovisual forms.

The festival is conceived as a space beyond fixed boundaries, approaching experimentation as a key method for engaging with contemporary visual experience.

At its core are works in which the image remains suspended: not yet fixed within a genre, not yet absorbed into market classification, still carrying the potential to shift from illustration to direct impact.

Necessary New / Unfinished Assembly

2026 Concept

New does not always belong to the present. Some forms arrive too early. Others return and begin to act again.

The necessary new is not novelty for its own sake. It is the image, gesture, and form without which it becomes impossible to rethink perception and experience.

The program becomes a space of encounter for works that remain active outside linear time, outside stable categories, outside comfortable recognition.

Program structure

Competition

Curated blocks built through internal resonance, formal tension, and dialogue between works rather than fixed categories.

Curatorial Assemblies

Research programs on archive practices, film essays, visual poetry, AI-generated image, urban memory, digital error and decay.

Expanded Nights

Screenings, sound, performance, music and architecture in a different collective mode of perception.
