Synopsis
At the Croatian shipyard "3 Maj," production comes to a halt, and a space usually filled with the noise of work falls silent for a year. The film observes this pause as a portrait of a place, while also revealing the social and economic consequences of privatisation, political interference and an uncertain future.
About the Director
Toni Meštrović (Split, 1973) is a Croatian multimedia artist working with film, video, sound and audiovisual installations. His practice explores the cyclicality of time, identity and social transformations, often through Mediterranean landscape imagery. He is a professor at the Arts Academy, University of Split.
