Synopsis

At the heart of the film is the process of turning a ceramic sculpture back into clay. Recorded on camera, it becomes a graphic score for a sound improvisation that the artist performs together with his two sons, closing the loop from material object to image and then to sound.

About the Director

Steven Brown is a late returner to producing contemporary artworks. After a career in mental health work, he joined Valley Artists Studios in Waterfoot, Lancashire, and began studies for a Fine Art degree. He now experiments with installations, video and sound to examine how change affects the world around us.
