Square Tempo

Synopsis

Each square in this work moves at its own speed and follows its own rhythm. The film turns a simple geometric element into a tool for investigating time, interval and movement within an abstract image.

About the Director

Kim Jaehyeon is an emerging Korean experimental-animation director, born in 1994 in Gangneung. She graduated from Seoul Women's University with a degree in German Language and Literature (2017), then earned an animation degree from the Korea National University of Arts (2024). She works on the theme of the unconscious figure through abstract images and non-linear narratives.
