Synopsis
What happens if you remove the colour test bar from the edge of the image and make it the protagonist? The work turns a technical element of cinema into an autonomous visual object, probing the border between an image and the tool used to make it.
About the Director
Shon Kim is a filmmaker and visual artist, born in Seoul, S. Korea. He holds a BA in Law from Hanyang University, a BFA in Film & Video from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, an MFA in Experimental Animation from CalArts, and a Ph.D. in Animation Theory from Chung-Ang University. He works in New York.
