Transparent Lands

Synopsis

В заброшенной деревне обитают три старика, отгороженные от внешнего мира и течения времени. Они коротают дни за чаем, табаком и наблюдением за пустынными пейзажами. Ход их жизней меняется, когда троица находит в реке замерзшего парня, решившего оттаять и воскреснуть на их глазах, а также подарить каждому по чуду. Был ли то ангел-хранитель или сам дьявол, но с его уходом начинается неминуемая гибель деревни.

About the Director

Dmitry Davydov is a Russian film director, screenwriter and producer from Yakutia, a key figure of Sakha (Yakut) cinema, living and working in the Amga district; he is self-taught, with no formal film education. His directorial debut was "The Bonfire" (2016). His best-known work is the drama "Scarecrow" (2020), winner of the Grand Prix at Kinotavr and recognized at several international festivals. He continues to make films combining Yakut material with universal dramatic themes; "Transparent Lands" (2025) is his latest feature.
