Synopsis
The Archangel Michael descends to free the earth from the dragon of evil — but behind this biblical image lies an allegory of human interference in the planet's landscape. The film reads the story of humanity's dominion over nature as an imposed construction of good and evil, alien to the earth itself.
About the Director
Juan Camardella was born in Buenos Aires; he is a self-taught artist and musician. In the 1980s he was active in his hometown's underground comics scene. In the 1990s he worked as an instrumentalist while also doing visual design for film and advertising. In 2000 he began independently directing animated short films, and since 2006 has specialized in open-source software. His works include Asterión (2006), Lo de Ribera (2013), El Casamiento (2018), and Un Perro (2024).
