Abaddon
Synopsis
A stream of archival images becomes a bleak requiem for human violence — against animals, against the Earth, and against one another. The film works with images torn from their original context and with specially composed music that does not explain what is seen but heightens a sense of fragility, repetition and the presence of something that remains outside the frame.
About the Director
Ambra Lupini is an artist and filmmaker trained in Visual Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome and in Documentary Directing at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia. Her work has been presented at festivals such as Short Theatre, Visioni Italiane, and Giornate degli Autori.
Riccardo Tesorini is a sound artist and composer based in Bologna. He studied Sound Engineering at the National Academy of Cinema in Bologna and earned a Master's Degree from UCLA. His practice spans composition for theater and film, electroacoustic performance, and sound installations presented across Europe, Asia, and North America.
