Synopsis

Booker watches the sky fill with passing planes while remaining motionless in his own yard. Between the world's repeating motion and a memory gradually losing its shape, a quiet portrait emerges of a man frozen on the border between present and past.

About the Director

Dwayne LeBlanc

Dwayne LeBlanc is a Los Angeles--based, first-generation Caribbean American self-taught filmmaker whose work explores migration, visibility and dual identity. His debut film "Civic" was named one of The Best Movies of 2023 by The New Yorker, and "Now, Hear Me Good" premiered in the Tiger Shorts Competition at IFFR. His work has been presented at The Met, MoMA, Harvard and Stanford; he is a Berlinale Talents and Zurich Film Festival Academy alum, a 2024 Dolby Institute Fellow, and a 2025 MacDowell fellow.
