Synopsis
A man with Alzheimer's disease revisits old Super 8 footage together with his son, and images from childhood bring back long-forgotten bodily sensations — the warmth of the sun, the wind, a feeling of safety. Reworking archival film by hand, the film explores the fragile bond between the moving image and memory, which can vanish but sometimes returns through the materiality of an old frame.
About the Director
Greta Bonnaud is studying History of Art at the University of Cambridge; "In the Hands of Time" is her directorial debut.
