The O-FEST jury doesn't judge work by genre category or formal criteria — it looks for what the festival calls "necessary new": a film's ability to produce an autonomous image and shift perception. The jury brings together Russian and international directors, critics, and artists.

An incessant curator, composer, and cinematographer, and an intermittent producer and filmmaker, with a handful of award-winning shorts and features to his credit. Prior to serving as Chief Strategy Officer at Kanopy, Marlow was — or continues to be — affiliated with numerous film festivals (including Telluride, Crossroads, and Camera Obscura), film institutions (Northwest Film Forum, San Francisco Cinematheque, Canyon Cinema), and film-distribution technology companies (notably Amazon, VUDU, and Fandor, among others). In addition to his articles and interviews for numerous online and print publications, Marlow is known for hosting screenings around the world, showcasing remarkable films generally unavailable elsewhere.
