Synopsis
The third part of the "Camera Insectorum" cycle, shot with a lensless camera — a short, almost poetic meditation on light inscribing its path into the darkness of the camera. The image tries to hold still something living that never coincides with its own imprint, leaving a gap — resistance, and endless escape.
About the Director
Jean-François Reverdy lives and works in Paris. In 2003 he made "Pinhole Video" for Arte TV, and his documentary "Raw material" ("Matière Première") screened at numerous festivals and won several prizes. Working with the pinhole camera, he began the series "Camera Insectorum," in which the insect is inside the camera and changes the proportions of the world; IMAGO is its third chapter. His films are distributed by Light Cone, Paris.
