When the seeds say enough
Synopsis
A personal archive becomes the basis for a film of farewell to a deceased brother, and a reflection on what remains of a person and a shared home after loss. Hand-processing of film, home video and alternative photographic processes turn memory into a material object that simultaneously preserves the past and shows its inevitable transformation.
About the Director
Dominick Rivers is a moving image artist, musician and educator (USA). His films examine how popular media formats capture and sentimentalize memory, using technically outdated formats and alternative photographic processes. As a musician he works under the moniker Floral Cow, composing original soundtracks for his own films. He has held a solo exhibition at the CICA Museum (South Korea). "When the Seeds Say Enough" is the third chapter of his tetralogy "Dreams Not Remembered," about grief and loss.
