Synopsis
A sensory film about the male body and its experience of being in nature. The sea and the surrounding landscape become not mere backdrop but a space of physical presence, observation and feeling.
About the Director
Wout Biesmans was born in Belgium in 1997. He studied Audiovisual Arts at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent. "The One Close to the Sea" (2022) is his first film. Since 2016 he has been a member of the vocal ensemble Vocem Flentium, for which he creates audiovisual works. He teaches at the Saint Augustine Institute in Bree.
