1 — General provisions
O-FEST — International Festival of Experimental Art — takes place September 4–6, 2026 in Moscow, Russia. The Organiser is IP Daukaeva Anna Olegovna.
Aims
- Support artists working in experimental and interdisciplinary art from Russia and worldwide
- Develop new forms of audiovisual expression
- Create an international platform for artists and researchers
- Explore new modes of perceiving image, space, and time
Official languages of the festival: Russian and English. The festival accepts works created using algorithmic, neural network, and generative technologies, provided the applicant holds all necessary rights to the materials used.

Competition Programme
The competition is shaped through a curatorial principle of assembly. Works are grouped into programme blocks based on internal resonances, thematic intersections, and artistic logic of dialogue between them. The festival avoids rigid categorisation.
Requirements
- Works up to 45 minutes in length
- Accepted formats: experimental cinema, video art, essay film, hybrid documentary, animation, AI / generative works, expanded cinema, interdisciplinary audiovisual projects
- For films with dialogue or voice-over: English or Russian subtitles required
- Premiere status: not required
3 — Selection
Selection is carried out by the festival curatorial team. Decisions are final and not subject to review. The Organising Committee reserves the right to modify programme structure, move works between sections, form non-competition screenings, and decline participation without explanation.
4 — Conditions of Participation

- For selected films: DCP without encryption, 2K/jpeg2000/mxf, 24fps or 25fps
5 — Jury & Awards
The jury consists of Russian and international experts (directors, film critics, artists). Persons connected with the production of submitted films are not admitted to the jury. The festival may establish competition and special prizes. The list of awards is determined by the Organising Committee annually.

Subtitles
- Non-English / non-Russian films: English or Russian subtitles (burnt-in or separate file)
- English-language films: English subtitles (burnt-in or separate file)
7 — Rights & Responsibility
The author retains all rights to the submitted work. The festival undertakes to protect participants' copyright. By submitting, the participant grants the festival the right to use fragments, stills, posters, synopsis, and author information for informational and non-commercial promotion of the festival. The submitter guarantees the accuracy of information provided, copyright compliance, and legal cleanliness of the film.
